1500mm Tri-Proof Lights

The advantage of 1500 mm is fewer joints: over the same run you need a third fewer fixtures, so there are fewer failure points and terminations, and maintenance drops with them. The disadvantage is freight — 1.5 m battens have to be planned against pallet dimensions when loading, or the last row goes out half empty.

The size is only proven at installation

This page covers 1500 mm (5 ft) at 50–60 W, 6,500–7,800 lm. Measure three things before ordering: the clear internal size of the grid, the finished ceiling level, and whether a beam or diffuser sits within the fixture border. Five millimetres anywhere in those three and it will not go in.

Within a room the size also sets the rhythm: lay the long edge along the direction people walk or work and the floor reads as one continuous band. Turn it across and walls and floor get alternating bright and dark stripes — average illuminance passes, the room still feels wrong.

Four things to verify before ordering

① Whether flux and efficacy are quoted for the complete fixture or the light source — a 10–15% difference that changes the fixture count. ② Whether colour temperature and CRI are measured or nominal values; mixed CCT within one batch is the most common arrival dispute. ③ Driver brand and model, plus its derating curve at high temperature — it is the only part that really sets life. ④ The mounting kit list: chain, bracket and anchors in the box, or the site stops for a day.
