How do I choose LED wall packs for commercial buildings?

Set mounting height and the surface to be lit first, then wattage, light distribution, IP rating and controls, and Xingguang configures by scene rather than quoting a bare unit price.

1. Throw distance and distribution

At mounting heights of 2.5 to 4.5 m the light has to reach the ground and walkways at an angle, so asymmetric distributions help more than simply adding wattage.

Car park perimeters and loading areas usually need 30 to 50 lux maintained, while corridor entrances need only 10 to 20 lux.

2. Housing and IP rating

Exterior walls face rain and washdown, so IP65 is the floor, and coastal or frequently washed areas are better served by IP66 with a die-cast aluminium housing and anti-corrosion coating.

Die-cast aluminium with a PMMA lens ages far better than plain plastic, which turns brittle and yellow under UV.

3. Controls and maintenance

Photocells and 0-10V dimming save energy, but the sensor position has to be fixed at installation, and adding it later means drilling again.

Whether you need battery backup depends on the runtime local requirements ask for, and the final configuration is confirmed in the quotation.

Send your mounting height, lit area and quantity on WhatsApp and Xingguang will propose a wall pack configuration by scene.
